Meet Sarah

Sarah Barksdale is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and has had the privilege to serve and help a wide range of people in many diverse settings. She has learned that no one is beyond grace and finds joy in seeing lives turned around for the better. 

 

Sarah, through training and experience has developed the ability to counsel a number of mental health issues such as relational conflict, depression, anxiety, codependency, grief, addiction and trauma recovery. She is a heartfelt listener as well as a practical strategist for helping people. Sarah has helped children, teens, married couples, parents, and adults through various life and ministry settings. 

 

She values a collaborative and holistic approach to counseling. As she invests time to know her clients Sarah believes that we are all impacted by family, social, cultural, and economical factors and because of this she feels it is important that clients are given a safe space to share their stories. 

 

Sarah has also earned her master's degree in Addiction Counseling (MAAC), has been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), is a certified Life Coach through the Life Purpose Institute, and is certified in using the Enneagram.
